Hi! My name is Abby, and I am the owner of The Nanny Ark. I was born and raised in Cape Coral, Florida, and I am proud to be the founder of Cape Coral's first nanny agency. I grew up with eight siblings and "make-it-happen parents." They gave me the purpose and drive to make a difference in the community that raised me.

About five years ago, I began babysitting a girl in my neighborhood to earn some extra money. At the time, I was in school and expected to pursue a career in medicine. After just a few weekends of babysitting, I fell in love with working with children and knew I needed to change paths.

I spent the next several years working in childcare and furthering my education in my free time. During that period, I worked as a babysitter, nanny, preschool teacher, and substitute teacher at the elementary and middle school levels. I also expanded my knowledge through a wide range of educational and professional opportunities, including college courses in child growth and development, DCF and NSC courses, CDA training, and RBT training. The list will continue to grow!

I created this business to make quality childcare accessible to every family. At the same time, I hope to inspire caregivers by showing them that childcare can be a fulfilling career. A career where they can do what they love while feeling supported, respected, and valued.
